Well another week over. Put on weight again.

I'm now 18 stone 8lbs again. Really fed up now and really want the weight off. It's just not easy.

I have to start training for this ultra marathon in febnor I'm gonna be in deep trouble.

Went to slimming this week and the class were all very supportive. But I know only I can do this.

Hopefully I can blog next week with more positive news.

Progress

Well progress this week. Lost 3lbs this week. I am still not fully on plan, but am converting slowly into healthy eating. Karate is going well. I just need to get the running sorted now. I have a 10 mile trail run in November so need to shift my arse.

I am going to aim for 2-3 times a week to start. They say it takes 2 weeks to get into the habit. I suppose it's about finding the strength to change. I really want to now.

Thinking of doing the snowdonia marathon next year as part of my charity challenge.

I just feel that now is my time to be what I can be. And slimming world will be a big part of that.

Time will tell.

Well, I haven't blogged for two weeks as my software was playing up. It's been an up and down time really. I completed the Swansea bay 10k race and the bristol half marathon in the past two weeks. Oth runs left me with a sore back due to the weight I'm carrying.
In the two weeks since I was last at slimming mI have put on 5lbs. I am now back to my start weight of 18 stone 8lbs. This is still lighter than my biggest weight of 21 stone from 2 years ago.

I have been working long hours and have not planned my diet around this. I won't make that mistake again!
On the positive side, I have got a ballot place for the London marathon, which is nearly impossible to get. I also have a 10 mile trail run in November and a 3k Santa run for the British heart foundation in December.

The biggest news is that I am running for charity again in aid of kidney research. This again is in memory of my father who died this year. I intend to not only run the London marathon, but also 2 ultra marathons as well. One is 32 miles long and the other is 40 miles long.

I have some inspirational runners around me, and I feel this is my time to slim down again, and hopefully inspire other along the way.

This week's gain was a low, it was not unexpected, but did leave me questioning my own will power.

I need to take heart from the amazing people around me of which there are many. I think sometimes we give hope to many and leave none for ourselves.

Time will tell.

Well a good start to slimming world. Lost 5lbs this week. Feel like I'm turning a corner on the weight  front. I know the first week loss is always good, but I'd like to see 2-3lbs on a weekly basis now.

Done 2 karate sessions this week, need to pound the streets this week. Got the Swansea bay 10k next week and the Bristol half marathon the week after. I do feel a lot fitter and my energy levels have gone up.

Gonna try something I heard on the radio the other day. Hugh fearnely whittling stall suggested that we try and put together 3 ingredients as that is how we do thing. I.e ham egg and chips etc. to make great combinations. I'm going to try to cook more this week. Things are good as I don't feel hungry and have broken the cycle of fatty foods.

There was a great motivator in class tonight and I am looking forward to putting my name on the weight board.

My weight loss now is about being slow and steady. I would love 3 stone off ready for my brown belt next march. Watch this space.

Well another week passes. Stayed the same this week. Okay with that as I haven't trained and have been eating on the run due to long working hours.

I've decided to go back to slimming world as I need help. I'm also going to try slim pod which works by training the mind. I really want to do this now. I have 3 weeks until the swansea bay 10k and 4 weeks until the Bristol half marathon so I want to be under 18 stone by then.

I've also entered the Llanelli half marathon next year and am waiting for the London marathon.

I suppose now is the time I turn my life around. Kind of a crossroads now. I just feel I owe it to me to do the now.

Starting karate again tomorrow and will cross train at home. I'm dieting in earnest now and want to see 4lbs off for next week.

The change happens now!

Well, first week and I have lost 1 1/2 lbs and have started back running. Got another running session tomorrow and karate on Wednesday. Feeling like I'm getting back into it, but it's early days.

I would like to see more off this week. I need to up the fruit and veg this week, and stop the silly snacks. I'm giving myself a treat every night of a 100 cal bar.

I have entered the Bristol half marathon for the 30th sept. I am training towards getting under 3 hrs for a half marathon.

Need more sleep and perhaps some cross training, but feel its my time again.

Well, the Tenby marathon got completed in 7 hrs 4 mins. A very tough hilly course, but completed it. What's next for me? Well now I am on the path of weight loss again. Combined with running, cycling and karate. I am hoping to achieve a brown belt next year, but need to be slimmer and more flexible for that.

And so the slimming journey begins again. But this time it will be with no excuses, but loads of hard work.
I'll post my weight loss every week now along with my fitness activity.

The road back x

Well it's been a tough few months. In lost my father,
Passed a karate grading and didn't quite finish a marathon.
I just ran the Llanelli marathon, but had to stop after 21 miles due to cramp.
I guess I didn't train enough for this one.

Well I'm in training now for the welsh marathon in tenby. I'm running in memory
Of dad and am raising money for kidney research uk.

I'm back with my slimming world family and have lost 5.5lbs in 2 weeks
So a good start!

The karate is going well and I have another grading in July
So fingers crossed.

A bump in the road :-(

Well despite training hard this week I stayed the same. On reflection there was not enough superfree food. I have a hamstring injury which I need to rest. I will still train but will work on my core and my diet.
A friend told me last night that I was too eager.though I see where the're coming from, I believe that good things only come through focusing on ones goals.
I have a half marathon in 4 weeks which I will complete, and then I need to get this weight off.

When you're this focused and an injury happens, it can feel like the end of the world. I suppose you have to see it as a bump on the long road that is life.

first week success

Well, I lost 5lbs this week and jogged/power walked 23 miles.Had a good karate session
This week and am really loving running again. On plan by about 85% and hoping
to improve that.
I have been overwhelmed with the generosity of people and have so far raised £116.50
For kidney research uk for my marathon in june.
A totally awesome week and tomorrow I'm going for an 8 mile session.
Keep posted for next weeks lost, would like 3-4lbs.

Running and plan.

Well, a nice 10k run/walk tonight, finding power walking really good when the back starts hurtig. Carrying 18.5 stone so distance is and issue. With the weight coming off that will change.

Increasing the superfree foods this week, really want at least 4ls off this week.

My first post.

Well, I have decided to record my journey on this blog. I feel that I am back on track with slimming world now and have completed 2 10k runs this week. I have 4 half marathons planned and 2 marathons planned for this year. I did lose 7 stone with slimming world but then let myself go and put on 4 stone in the process. Slimming World works as long as you follow plan. Hopefully in a month I will report that I have lost the first stone.
